Thursday 22 October, the Israeli Embassy and Queensland Jewish Board of Deputies hosted a Righteous Among the Nations ceremony in Brisbane.
Guest speakers and special guests included His Excellency, Ambassador of Israel, Dr Tibor Shalev-Schlosser, Minister for Multicultural Affairs Stirling Hinchliffe, Lord Mayor of Brisbane Adrian Schrinner and the Lady Mayoress, Honorary Consul of Germany Michael Rosemann, Neal Quillinan, a Gandel Yad Vashem Scholar from All Hallows’ School, members of the van der Haar family, and Gokkes family via Zoom from Israel.
